The sun rises in the morning, my little girl with it, and I have no choice but to rise with them too. It’s a beautiful morning. Warm, though not hot yet. And if we are at my parent’s house, we may go right into the garden. Still in our pyjamas.
I hope you, my dear readers, will not get bored with photos taken in this lovely garden. Because it is the best place I have to take pictures of whatever I did. It is a little bit of (our) Eden on Earth. Not to mention, it is rather photogenic and more or less easy to get some pics of Liv, since she always gets to do something there, not caring whether the camera is directed on her, running around happily… most of the time gardening… well, to be quite specific, watering flowers… oh, how she loves to water this garden… and me running after her… and here and there even I get to make a decent shot.
Liv needed a long shirt or nightgown-ish something to sleep in. When I looked around in shops, there was sadly pretty much nothing around (in her sizes) that would match my expectations of it. Which was pretty surprising to me, since I didn’t want anything complicated, just a simple long gown or shirt, that would not leave her belly and back bare right after she turned onto the other side.
So I just did this simple nightgown. Liv loves my bear-shirt. She would often choose it for me, saying I should wear it. So I took the rest fabrics and some simple forest-green-ish jersey I had at home. I took a simple Raglan Shirt pattern from BurdaStyle, and only adjusted the length to go about under Liv’s knees. Voila. Easy-peasy.
I love projects that go really fast. (And look good at the same time). It’s like instant happiness, haha. And it makes you feel good about how useful you were (in a short time), ha.
I have to say, I like her version more than my own shirt. My shirt is OK, but hers… whether it is the combination with the green jersey, that actually makes the bear-pattern pop out even more… or the simple pattern of the shirt, with the same effect. Or is it just ‘cuz she’s cute no matter what she got on, so everything looks better on her? Heh, I’m not sure.
And I’m always happy when Liv likes something I did for her. She looooves that pyjama with those bears. Plus, she would like to make matching ones for her grandma and for daddy. Oh, sweet girl. I’ll have to buy more of this fabric and make matching pyjamas for everyone so she’ll be happy. :-)
